How we earn

When a bookseller recommends a good novel, the shop earns something on the sale. This site works in a similar way, except that the shop is the maker's own store and we are the ones doing the recommending.

The Planet Tachyon affiliate programme

Tachyon-pro is part of the Planet Tachyon partner programme. When you click a shop button on this site and place an order, Planet Tachyon pays us a commission on it. The same happens when you enter the coupon SOKOL in the cart: the code tells the shop you came from us.

You pay the same price as anyone else, and 10% less with the coupon. The commission comes out of the shop's margin.

What the commission pays for

It pays for writing, translation, checking prices and running the site on two domains. Thanks to it, the site can cover the whole range, including the inexpensive products, and show the date we last checked every price.

How we write

We describe products as we know them and as Tachyon itself describes them, and whenever we pass on something the maker says, we say it comes from the maker. The comparison tables list the whole range of each category by price, and the three picks are chosen by budget and type of product.

Who runs the site

The site is run by flexity s.r.o., the company behind the Flexity shops. Those are our own shops. More about the author and the site on About.
