Chakra kits

Yoga and many meditation traditions talk about seven chakras, energy centres along the spine from the tailbone to the crown of the head. Each one has its own colour, from red at the base to violet at the top. The Chakra Kit takes that map quite literally.

Each kit holds tachyonized glass cells in the chakra colours. When you lie down, you place the cells on the body over each chakra, or fix them with stickers that the maker sells separately. Tachyon says the cells balance the flow of energy between the chakras and presents the kits as an aid to meditation and relaxation. People use them for an evening meditation, during yoga nidra or in a session with a practitioner. The cells are small and light, so a whole kit fits in a little pouch and comes along on trips or a yoga weekend.

How to choose

All three kits are built the same way; only the diameter of the cells changes. The 15 mm cells are the smallest and the easiest to stick on, so they're our first pick. The 24 mm size sits in the middle, is easy to handle and gives you the most for the money. The 32 mm cells are the largest and most noticeable, and they tend to go to people who work with chakras regularly or with clients.
