SOKOLHow people use it
- Setting up the whole bedroom at once, without choosing each piece separately.
- A bedroom after a move or a renovation, when the room is being furnished from scratch.
- A present for a partner or parents who know Tachyon and want it where they sleep.
Who it suits
- You'd rather have a ready-made selection from the manufacturer than build a setup piece by piece.
- You plan to furnish the bedroom in one go and like the lower price of a set.
- You see the bedroom as the room where you spend the most hours each day.
Saturday morning. The bed is freshly made and the parcel that arrived yesterday is on the floor. You unpack it onto the duvet one piece at a time and work out what goes on the bedside table, what goes by the window, and what sits closer to the bed. Half an hour later the bedroom is done and the box goes up into the loft. That's the Bedroom Kit on its first day: the whole room at once, without weeks of picking out individual pieces.
Anyone starting with Tachyon in the bedroom usually has two options. You can choose individual pieces and build your own setup, or you can go for a set the manufacturer has already put together. The Bedroom Kit is the second option.
What it is
The Bedroom Kit is a ready-made set of several Tachyon pieces meant for the bedroom. Think of it like a boxed set of kitchen pans: you don't have to work out which pan does what, because the maker has already done that and sells the whole set for less than the pieces would cost on their own.
The full contents are listed, with a photo, on the product page in the Planet Tachyon shop. It's worth looking before you order so you have a picture of where each piece will go in the room. The manufacturer doesn't allow swaps within its kits, so you get exactly the combination Tachyon designed.
What Tachyon says
In the product description on the Planet Tachyon shop, Tachyon describes the Bedroom Kit as a set for the room where you spend the most hours of the day. According to the manufacturer, the pieces work together to create a calmer space for sleep and rest. Tachyon presents its kits as a way to cover a whole environment at once, rather than relying on a single piece you carry with you.
If you're new to the ideas behind Tachyon, our article What is a tachyon explains them in plain language.
How people use it
Most people lay the set out on the first day and then leave it alone. They place the pieces around the room as Tachyon recommends on the product page, some closer to the bed and some elsewhere in the room. Once everything is in place there's nothing to switch on or charge.
Some people build on the bedroom over time. They start with the kit and later add a Sleep Pad for the bed or a larger piece for the room, such as the set of 4 Sun Spots. Others leave a pendant on the bedside table overnight next to the kit.
If you're not sure whether a set suits you better than building your own, try the kit builder. Choose the bedroom and you'll see what the individual pieces would cost together, how that compares with the ready-made kits, and where the threshold for free delivery sits.
Who it suits
The Bedroom Kit suits people who want to set up the bedroom in one go and are happy to leave the selection to the manufacturer. You save time choosing and money compared with buying the pieces separately.
It also works well after a move or a renovation, when a room is being furnished from scratch, or as a larger present for someone who knows Tachyon. More ready-made kits for the home, the office and the car are in the Kits category. If you'd rather start with one piece and sleep is what matters most, have a look at the pads in Sleep and pads.
Care
The pieces in the set need almost no maintenance. Dust them now and then with a dry or slightly damp cloth, as you would anything else on the bedside table. When you clean, put each piece back where it was. Keep the box; it's handy if you ever move house.
Price and coupon
The Bedroom Kit costs $1,149.39 (price checked 28 October 2026). Its usual price (MSRP) is $1,249.34, so the set saves 8% against that. Prices in the Planet Tachyon shop are in US dollars and include VAT, because orders for Europe ship from the warehouse in the Netherlands. Orders of this size qualify for free delivery within the eligible European countries.
The code SOKOL takes a further 10% off the whole order. One coupon applies per order, so enter it in the basket before you pay. On a set this size, that's a noticeable amount. You'll find the steps on our SOKOL coupon page and delivery details for the EU and UK on the shipping page.
