Silica disks and glass cells

Most people meet Tachyon through a disk. It's a flat silica disc sealed in laminate, a bit like a heavy coaster with a soft sheen. People stand a bottle of water on it, keep one on the nightstand or slip a small one into a pocket.

Tachyon says its disks and cells go through a tachyonization process the company holds a patent on, and that the material then concentrates tachyon energy into its surroundings. According to the maker, the Simple Silica Disk is the all-rounder: around the home, near appliances, under a water jug. The ULTRA line is meant to create a stronger field, which Tachyon calls the NEO field, and the company suggests it for people who have used disks for a while and for practitioners. The small glass cells, 13 to 32 mm across, and the micro-disks are taped straight onto the body or onto objects, much like a plaster.

How to choose

Size is the main decision. A smaller disk fits in a pocket and travels well, while a larger one usually stays put in one spot. If you want several, say for the water jug, the bedroom and the car, the three-packs work out cheaper per disk.

Our three picks go from small to large. The 7.5 cm Simple Silica Disk is a good way to start, Tachyon calls the 10 cm version its world standard, and the 15 cm ULTRA disk is the largest piece in the line. The table below has every size, plus cells and accessories.
