SOKOLHow people use it
- Every day on a chain, under a shirt or over a jumper.
- Through a long day at the desk, when you want Tachyon close at hand.
- When travelling, instead of packing disks or larger pieces.
- As a gift for someone who already knows Tachyon and would like a piece of jewellery.
Who it suits
- You'd like to carry Tachyon as jewellery that goes with everyday clothes.
- You're choosing between pendants and want the model Tachyon itself features most.
- You're looking for a bigger gift that someone will wear every day.
Seven in the morning, the hall light is on and you're fastening a chain in front of the mirror. The pendant settles just below your collar, cool against the skin for a few seconds. Then you forget about it, even though it stays with you all day: in meetings, in the car, at dinner. That's how people tend to wear the Freedom Pendant.
What it is
The Freedom Pendant is part of the Tachyon Ultra line and you wear it round your neck like any other necklace. Think of a locket handed down by a grandmother that someone wears for years. To everyone else it's simply jewellery. For the person wearing it, it's also a way of keeping Tachyon close all day.
It comes in three versions: silver, silver with a gold band, and gold. They differ only in look, so most people pick the one that suits the watch, rings or earrings they already wear.
On the Planet Tachyon home page, the Freedom sits first in the best sellers block. Jewellery is the simplest way to have a Tachyon product with you from morning to evening, which goes some way to explaining why.
What Tachyon says
Tachyon describes the Freedom in its product listing on the Planet Tachyon shop as a personal pendant that supports energy and a sense of personal strength. The name itself is the idea: freedom. The manufacturer builds its descriptions on research it calls a scientific breakthrough from 2024, and on its own process of tachyonisation, which we explain in plain words in What is a tachyon.
According to the manufacturer, the Ultra line is the stronger version of its products. You'll find the same word on the Ultra disks and on the Ultra Cocoon.
How people use it
Most people wear it every day on a chain, under their clothes or on top. That way it's there at work, at the computer and on the train. It suits days when there's no time to sit down with a disk or lie on a pad.
Plenty of people take it off at night. They leave it on the bedside table and put it on again in the morning, which becomes a small part of starting the day. Others swap it for a micro disk on their phone or a belt while they exercise, and put the pendant back on once they're dressed.
You can wear the Freedom on a chain you already own, or on a leather cord if you prefer a more natural look. Pick a chain that's strong enough to hold it and stops the pendant from flipping over.
Who it suits
The Freedom suits people who want Tachyon as jewellery and would rather not keep a disk in their pocket. It's also a sensible starting point if you're weighing up several pendants and want to begin with the model the manufacturer shows first.
If you're after something smaller and less expensive, have a look at the Mini-V Pendant or the steel Tachyon Pendant. Every pendant in the shop is listed in the Pendants category, and our comparison tool lines them up next to each other. Buying for someone else? The gift finder has more ideas.
Care
Treat the pendant like any other piece of jewellery. Take it off for the shower, swimming and cleaning with household products. Wipe it now and then with a soft dry cloth to keep the shine. When you're not wearing it, keep it in a pouch or a small box so it doesn't get scratched by other jewellery.
